Care Instructions for Direct-to-Garment (DTG) Printed Apparel
Our printer uses the latest direct-to-garment (DTG) printing technology and high-quality Eco-Friendly water-based inks for a softer feel and long-lasting detailed prints that won't fade for a long time if taken care of properly.
So we suggest following the care instructions on this page to learn how to take care of your printed garments properly.
Machine Washing:
Printed apparel can be machine washed in cold water, inside-out.
Washing apparel inside-out and avoiding very harsh detergents, extends the life span of your shirt and is the best practice for retaining the print quality on both DTG and screen printed apparel.
Hand Washing:
Printed apparel can be hand washed with cold water, inside-out, with a non-harsh detergent; If washing by hand, wash gently without scrubbing, squeezing, pulling, or brushing the printed area of the shirt.
Drying:
Printed apparel can be tumble-dried on a low cycle, but hang-drying works best. After your shirt has been washed, leave it turned inside-out and hang it to air dry naturally, indoors or outdoors. As true with most apparel, colors will last a lot longer if you do not wash your shirt in hot water and then tumble dry it on “high heat”.
Ironing:
When it comes to ironing; Don’t iron directly on the print. Use iron on low setting while your shirt is still inside-out. Using a piece of cloth between the iron and your shirt will also minimize the risk of damage to the printed area.
